Did you know if you mouth the words alligator food and olive juice it will look like you are saying I love you to the person you are looking at?

I wrote out those words after I got tired of waiting in the emergency room as my daughter quitely slept on the hospital bed. I know, the words are syrupy and would probably make a 3 years old giggle. I read them to Ginny when she awoke. I told her I wrote it for her and asked if she liked it. She said yes.

Ginny has a genetic condition which must be closely watched if certain symptoms arise. The biggest symptom is throwing up. She did this four times in the middle of the night starting around 2am. Danny gave her an extra dose of her regular medication. She couldn't keep it down. Then he gave her some phenergan. This didn't help either. Then we called her pediatric endocrinologist. She gave us permission to administer a shot and told us to take her to the emergency room if she continues to throw up. Ginny did so I took her to Saint Francis at around 4:30 this morning.

We stayed in the emergency room about five hours. Ginny slept most of the time. They put an IV in her arm and gave her medicine to calm her stomach, solu-Cortef and some fluid in an IV bag to hydrate her. And then we were finally allowed to go home.

On the way to the emergency room,as I drove in the heavily pouring rain, I was so thankful to God. I'm glad to be an American where there is access to excellent medical facilities. I'm thankful for the great doctor who cares for Ginny. And I thank God that we have insurance to pay for these random rushes to the hospital.
