Ten Super Foods

Here are ten super foods to base a healthy diet around. I found these on the food network where there are also a ton of recipes to dig through.

Berries-- strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and rasberries

Citrus fruit-- oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes

Vegetables-- winter squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, leafy green vegetables, broccoli, spinach, garlic and onions

Whole Grains-- brown rice, oats, and whole wheat flour

Salmon
Legumes-- beans, peas, peanuts and lentils

Nuts and Seeds-- almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds

Lean Proteins-- fish, skinless chicken, turkey, lean beef, milk, yogurt, ricotta cheese and other cheese

Tea-- green tea, Oolong tea and black tea

Olive Oil
